Once again, the Bountiful Lions Club was honored to serve the community as a part of the Bountiful Handcart Days festivities. With the help of friends, family, and community partners we were able to pass out nearly 7,000 flags at the Handcart Days Parade and served breakfast to hundreds of people at the Chuck Wagon Breakfast on Saturday Morning.
The celebration started out with the annual Handcart Days Parade which was preceded by the Bountiful Lions passing out flags to parade attendees. Escorting the Lions was the Eye Care 4 Kids Mobile Eye Clinic and the Utah Lions Eye Bank minivan. Special thanks to the Bountiful High School Cross Country Team for helping us pass out flags. We couldn't have done it without them!
We served pancakes, eggs, ham and drinks to hundreds of people on Saturday morning with 100% of the proceeds going to local charities. Smith's Food & Drug donated all the food and materials used at the breakfast. The breakfast is a lot of work and we owe a big thanks to volunteers from the America First Credit Union and the Bountiful Youth Council. Between them they provided well over twenty volunteers to help with the breakfast.
Thanks to everyone who helped to make this project a success!!
